While you can post for free, you can opt to pay to optimize your post to get better results. LinkedIn is a professional networking website and is also a terrific resource for referrals. It’s easy to conduct a search for “QuickBooks proadvisor” and filter the results for your area and your industry. You can also post a request for referrals, as it’s likely that someone in your network is already connected to one. You may send any suggestions, comments, or errors you see to qbproadvisor.com/feedback. The Certification/s you pass are yours, not your firm’s, but you must remain a QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program Member to use the certification titles, logos, and distinctions.

Step 1: Determine What Kind of Accountant You Need
QuickBooks Live is an online bookkeeping service that connects small businesses with QuickBooks ProAdvisors. Rather than dealing with an independent ProAdvisor, you’ll work with these professionals through QuickBooks. The first step to find a QuickBooks ProAdvisor is to visit Find-a-ProAdvisor. It’s an online directory provided by Intuit, which allows you to search for and connect with certified QuickBooks ProAdvisors. There is currently no limit to the number of clients that you can have on the ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing program. ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing does not include QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Client trust
Intuit’s Find-a-ProAdvisor website is by far the easiest way to find a ProAdvisor near you. However, you may also use other services or platforms, like QuickBooks Live and LinkedIn, respectively. Most ProAdvisors won’t have a problem providing you with a client reference list. However, they might need to get approval from their clients before you can contact them. If you encounter a QuickBooks ProAdvisor who is unwilling to provide you with at least one client reference, I would consider moving to the next ProAdvisor on your list. Currently, the ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing program only supports them as a bundle.
Support for every pro, at every stage
Those advanced certification exams are tough; passing it is a huge badge of honor. A QuickBooks ProAdvisor with an advanced certification has a deeper understanding and more expertise with the program compared to those with the basic certification. To facilitate the conversation, we suggest making a list of the traits that you’re looking for in a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. Also, explain what services you’re looking for, what your business does, and what your pain points might be.
Training & support
Once you find someone who you think might be a good fit, you’ll want to do some background research. My advice is to check out the profiles of each QuickBooks ProAdvisor, see what they say about themselves and their practice, and look at their reviews. You’ll also want to do some social media sleuthing—are they a member of the QuickBooks community online?.
Your Find-a-ProAdvisor profile will also be included in the results of search engine sites like Google and Bing. Please allow these sites several weeks to reflect your newly published profile or any changes made to your profile. Intuit has no control of when your changes will reflect on these sites. On the QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program website, there’s a button you can click to sign up for QuickBooks Online Accountant.
Frequently Asked Questions about ProAdvisor training and certification
When you add clients, you can make sure they’re set up with the right QuickBooks products and services for them, from the start. 24/7 support resources are available for Premium levels that include scheduled callback and digital self-help resources. Support hours exclude occasional downtime due to system and server maintenance, company events, observed U.S. holidays and events beyond our control. Intuit reserves the right to limit each telephone contact to one hour and to one incident.
A QuickBooks ProAdvisor is a certification provided by Intuit to independent accounting professionals who demonstrate expertise using QuickBooks. The ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing program is available for new QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Online Payroll and QuickBooks Time subscriptions only. If a QuickBooks Online Accountant account assumes the billing for an existing subscription, they are charged the then-current list price without additional discounts. Intuit may terminate these terms or the Revenue Share Program or modify the terms of the Revenue Share Program for any reason and at any time, at Intuit’s sole discretion, without notice.
You won’t be limited to a set amount of time per month, and you have the option of scheduling a video call once or twice each month to discuss any questions and review month-end results. Depending on your needs, prices range from $300 to $700 per month after the first month, which includes a custom charge for cleaning up your books. Once you have a shortlist of potential ProAdvisors, contact them to discuss your business needs, their services, and fees. This initial consultation is very similar to a job interview but less formal.
